As the Viet Nam war heats up, John Bennett's collegiate career is tanking. Rather than return to school in the fall, decides to follow his father and grandfather into the Marine Corps. But not before experiencing San Francisco during the Summer of Love in 1967. These are the stories of his adventures during the cross-country trip and among the other young people who answered the call.
